Pollinator Garden Plantings, Tuesday May 14 8:30am – 10:30am
Come plant with us! We’ll be working with 5th Graders to create some small rainwater-harvesting earthworks and prepping for 1st graders to plant pollinator plants at Ochoa Community School. This will extend the pollinator gardens we’ve already partnered with the school’s Garden and Ecology Program to install. This phase of the project will also support Bat Conservation International’s program to plant one million agaves to support Lesser Long-nosed Bats in addition to hummingbirds, butterflies, and many other pollinators. Sign up online here. Meet at Ochoa Community School at 8:30 (or at Tucson Audubon at 8:15).
Leader: Jonathan Horst, Director of Conservation & Research, jhorst@tucsonaudubon.org

Nature Shop Attendant at the University Blvd. Location
Current needs include on-call volunteers.

Volunteers for the Tucson Audubon nature shops are truly faces of the organization, and often the primary contact between Tucson Audubon and members/the public. A Nature Shop Attendant rings up customers, restocks materials in the shop, answering questions from visitors, and managing the main phone line for Tucson Audubon. A Shop Attendant is responsible, dependable, has some knowledge of birds in Southeastern Arizona, enjoys working in a shop environment and sharing their love of birds and conservation! Opportunities to further your learning about binoculars and birding.
Questions? Please contact Luke Safford, lsafford@tucsonaudubon.org if interested.

Paton Center for Hummingbirds, Feeder Fillers and Birding Ambassadors
This is a fun volunteer assignment in a beautiful environment! We need volunteers who are willing to spend 4-6 hours at the Paton Center for Hummingbirds filling feeders and greeting visitors. Interested in getting trained? Contact Tina Hall (thall@tucsonaudubon.org) and/or Luke Safford (lsafford@tucsonaudubon.org).
