Protect our clean water in Arizona.

Comments due March 28th.

Water in Arizona is life.

We know that water means more than just the simple image of a running river. Our water includes the ephemeral washes, ponds, lakes and wetlands. Our water is more complex than ‘navigable rivers’. And we need to protect all of our waters for Arizona’s now and future.

Tell the Arizona Department of Environment Quality that tying Arizona to a simplistic definition of ‘surface water’ is shortsighted and we need to strengthen clean water protections, not weaken them.

Please include a personal story of why protections for all Arizona’s water is important to you. This could be anything. Examples could be: I bird or recreate outside, I walk or visit riparian areas, I need to know my storm and drinking water is safe, etc.
