Rio Vista Park with Gary Bachman & Scott Olmstead
Rio Vista Park, November 16th, 7:00 AM
Trip difficulty: Easy. ~ 2 miles. This walk is easy on unpacked, but firm trails in the park. There are gentle slopes across drainage areas.
Rio Vista Natural Resources Park is one of two of this type of park managed by Tucson Parks and Recreation. Most of the park is open scrub with some dense vegetation in drainage areas. However, many birds can be found in grassy area near the parking lot. We should find winter, as well the birds that are permanent residents. Our walk will be leisurely, looping along trails in the park, returning to the parking area by 9 am.
Leaders: Gary Bachman and Scott Olmstead
