Difficulty: Moderate (mostly flat walking trails on some uneven and rocky terrain)
Some of the most well-known birding locations in Southeast Arizona, and the United States, occur in the riparian area that runs along the Sonoita Creek and around the small mining town of Patagonia. We’ll start at the famous Patagonia Lake SP and walk the birding in trail in search of Gray Hawks, Northern Beardless Tyrannulets, Abert’s Towhees, and Summer Tanagers. Drive time to meeting location from festival venue is about 75 minutes, specific meeting instructions will be emailed beforehand. State Park Fee not included. Limited to 8 participants.
