Objective:

Connecting to the Santa Cruz River and fostering stewardship through education and trash removal. This event is in partnership with Unitarian Universalists Baja 4, Sonoran Institute, Tucson Clean and Beautiful, Tucson Audubon, and The Wilderness Society. There will be music, food trucks, & more!

Position Description:

Clean-up Crew: Volunteers will use pickers and gloves to remove trash from the river channel. Optional bird walk 7:30 am – 8:30 am.

Registration Desk: Help Participants sign-in the day of the clean-up event.

Requirements:

Clean-up Crew: Volunteers must be able to walk in sandy wash, bend down, and lift up to 30 lbs.

Registration Desk: Must be able to stand for 1-2 hours with sitting breaks in between. Must engage participants to come sign-in at the registration table.

Date:

Sat. April 20 with optional bird walk: 7:30am-8:30am

Clean-up Crew: 9am-12pm

Registration Desk: 7am-10am
