Objective:

Come represent Tucson Audubon at the Tucson Festival of Books and help us grow our audience!

Position Description:

We will have TWO tables at the festival: one general Tucson Audubon Table & one Nature’s Clean Up Crew Table.

Tucson Audubon Table – Volunteers will help our engagement team speak to attendees who stop by the table, hand out Tucson Audubon outreach materials, sign people up for the mailing list, and promote Tucson Audubon field trips and the Southeast Arizona Birding Festival.

Nature’s Clean Up Crew Table – Volunteers will help our education team run an interactive children’s activity, one focused on scavengers.

Requirements:

Tucson Audubon Table – Volunteers should feel comfortable speaking with the general public and be welcoming and friendly, have general knowledge of Tucson Audubon activities and programs. A chair will be provided.

Nature’s Clean Up Crew Table – Volunteers should feel comfortable speaking with children of all ages. The activities will require volunteers to be standing for a portion of the time, so volunteers should feel comfortable on their feet for a few hours.

March 9 & 10, 2024

Number of Openings:

We are looking for two volunteers per table, per 3 hour shift. Volunteers are welcome to sign up for more than one shift.

Location:

The festival is held on the University of Arizona campus in downtown Tucson. Specific details about parking and booth location(s) will be sent out closer to the date.
