Wilderness First Aid Training

Wilderness First Aid training can be an important aspect of risk management for your organization to consider. By training your staff in how to care for individuals in the backcountry, you will have more thoughtful and responsible trip leaders, guides, and staff. Tucson Audubon Society is a Desert Mountain Medicine provider for Wilderness First Aid certifications as well as accompanying certifications for CPR/AED and Wilderness Anaphylaxis Training (WAT).

Jay Snowdon will be your lead instructor on this journey of risk management. Jay has been teaching Wilderness First Aid since 2014 and has continued to maintain his own certifications as a Wilderness First Responder in order to learn the most up-to-date standard operating procedures for wilderness medicine so that you can be sure your students, whether veterans of backcountry medicine or new to the game, get the best information available to manage chaotic situations in the wild.
