Desert Meadows Park with Marie Davis and Andrea Serrano
Saturday, April 27, 2024: 6:30-8:30am
Trip Difficulty: Easy/Moderate. About 3 miles total, walking on mostly packed dirt paths.
Desert Meadows is a hidden gem in Green Valley. This community garden attracts a variety of bird species, including your typical desert birds. With migration full-blown, we hope to find additional special species passing through. We’ll bird Desert Meadows for a while and then walk along the nearby De Anza Trail.
Wear good walking shoes, bring binoculars and water. Limited to 12 participants.
Driving directions: Take I-19 south and exit at Continental Road. Travel East about half a mile, then turn north on Abrego Drive. Travel about 0.2 miles and turn right onto S. La Huerta. After a short distance, you can park along the street when you reach Desert Meadows.
Leaders: Andrea Serrano (birdingwithjoy@gmail.com) and Marie Davis (marietucson520@gmail.com)
