Relaxed Afternoon Birding at Fort Lowell Park with Karen Howe

Trip Easy: Walk 1-2 miles on level grass, paved and dirt paths.

Limited to 12 participants. Binoculars will be provided for those who request them in advance.

Join us if you are new to birding or a Tucson visitor who wants to learn some of the common birds in the Sonoran Desert. We’ll practice identifying birds by shape, sound, color, and behavior and will discuss the connections between the birds and their habitats. We’ll go slowly and focus on enjoying the birds that show up in the hours before dark.

Meet in the parking lot off of N. Craycroft Road.

Leader: Karen Howe (karenhowepdx@gmail.com)
