Green Valley Recreation Event – “Invasive Plant Control in Local Communities” with Jay Snowdon

Place: Green Valley Recreation Las Campanas Center, 565 W. Belltower Drive. Agave/Ocotillo Room

When: Tuesday, March 11

Time: 11am – 12pm

Description: Tucson Audubon not only completes large landscape-scale restoration and invasive plant control across the Tucson Mountains, Santa Catalina Mountains, and in the Sonoita Creek Watershed, but we also work with smaller communities, HOAs, and neighborhoods to develop plans and strategies for individuals and groups to control these undesirable plants in their own back yards. Join Community Forestry Program Manager Jay Snowdon to learn how to identify the most common non-native invasive plants in the area, how and why they are so dangerous to both our animal friends and our homes, and what you can do!
