Madera Canyon with Mary Ellen Flynn

Trip difficulty: Moderate, 3.5 miles on uneven, variable terrain, with 500ft elevation gain.

Bird beautiful Madera Canyon. We will slowly work our way up the canyon from Proctor Rd. to Santa Rita Lodge. Walking about 3.5 miles roundtrip with 500 ft. elevation gain on variable terrain. Coronado Nat’l Forest Parking Fee $8 per vehicle or free with Federal Interagency or Senior Pass. Bring water and snacks/lunch, although Santa Rita Lodge does sell beverages and snacks. Depending on birdiness, we expect to finish by 12 pm or earlier. Limited to 6 participants.
