Oracle City Park with Bob & Prudy Bowers

Trip difficulty: Easy to moderate. 1-2 miles walking, elevation change: minor in City Park, less than 100 feet in state park. Restrooms available in both locations.

Driving directions: Oracle Road (Hwy 77) past Oracle Junction to American Avenue turnoff into Oracle. 9 miles from Oracle Junction to turnoff and 4 miles from turnoff to Oracle Patio Cafe, at 270 W American Avenue. Take N Evergreen Drive across the street from the Oracle Patio Cafe and drive .4 mile south, then jog left onto E Nuestro Street to the City Park parking area at 333 E Nuestro Street where we will meet at 7:00 AM.  Birding in the city park for 1.5 hours, followed by a drive to the State Park for another 1.5 hours of birding at the Kannally Ranch House parking area with an option to hike down the trail to the group area and loop back to the Kannally Ranch House. Optional brunch at the Oracle Patio Cafe. Anticipated species 20-35. Limited to 12 participants.
