Patagonia Lake SP with Luke Safford
Friday, February 9: Patagonia Lake State Park, 7:30am – 12:30pm
$35/member, $50/non-member
Patagonia Lake is one of the best places in all of Arizona to go birding and offers a good selection of waterfowl, raptors, and songbirds. We’ll start on the “Birding Trail” on the east end of the lake and walk along the Sonoita Creek for around a mile. There’s one steep incline that you’ll need to be mobile enough to make to get down to trail/creek. After walking the trail for a while we will check out some other areas around the campground and lake, possibly doing a walk over to the dam area. We’ll plan to bird for about 5 hours so bring some food, water, and snacks if you’d like. Limited to 10 participants.
