Santa Cruz River Restoration & Clean Up w/Tucson Clean and Beautiful

Description

Tucson Clean and Beautiful and partners will conduct a multi-site restoration and clean-up experience along the recovering urban reach of the Santa Cruz River.

Purpose

This restoration project focuses on highly trafficked and visible areas along the urban reaches of the Santa Cruz River. Participants will make noticeable impacts through litter removal and invasive species like buffelgrass, and hands on learning.

Role

Educational stewardship experience will prioritize; removing trash and invasive species, spreading native wildflowers via seed bombs, and environmental education opportunities connecting participants to their cultural and ecological landscape.
