Sweetwater Wetlands: Deaf-Friendly Accessible Birding with SAAWR (ASL Interpreting Provided)

Trip Duration: 1.5 hrs. Ground Condition: groomed gravel trails. Drinking water and restrooms available at entrance. Benches available at periodic intervals around the Wetlands.

Join Kimberly Aikins of the Southern Arizona Accessible Wildlife Refuge (SAAWR) for an outing designed for nature lovers with accessibility challenges; wheelchairs, walkers, or other assistive devices are welcome. On this trip, we will gather at one of Tucson’s birding gems: Sweetwater Wetlands! Here, we’ll look for migrating warblers, waterfowl, and an abundance of other species. We will finish by 9:30 am.
