Willcox Ponds: Spring Migration

Come see the spring migration of shorebirds, swallows and gulls headed north. Those new to birding or who are mobility challenged are especially invited, since we’ll bird from our cars with scopes and bird charts as we drive the dirt road around the ponds. Be ready for warm winds. Bring water, snacks/lunch and carpool money. Leave from in front of the Walmart parking lot (NE corner) at Houghton and Old Vail Road by 8 a.m., back before 2 p.m. Seventy miles one way. Restrooms at Texas Canyon rest stop on the way and the Historic Train Depot in Willcox after birding.

Mask is required for unvaccinated participants. Limited to 20 participants.
