Second Saturdays at Reid Park with Donito Burgess
Trip difficulty: Easy. Walking Distance: 1.0-1.5 miles. Trip Duration: 2.5 hours. Ground Condition: Mostly flat surface on grass, paved and dirt pathway with some areas of uneven footing. Ample parking, restroom facilities and benches available at periodic intervals throughout the park.

Reid Park is renowned for its tranquil lakes, and lush vegetation, making it an ideal habitat for a wide variety of bird species. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or a newcomer to the world of birdwatching, this field trip at Reid Park offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature, expand your knowledge of birds, and create lasting memories in the company of fellow nature enthusiasts.
Please remember to dress comfortably, wear appropriate footwear, and bring water to stay hydrated during the outing. Park in the south parking lot, which is accessed from Lakeshore Ln via 22nd street, and we will meet in the grassy area near Ramada 7.
