Tucson Audubon Education Program

Tucson Audubon would love to work with your school, camp, or education program to bring students to Sweetwater Wetlands.

Educational Field Trips

Take your class outside with us to Sweetwater Wetlands! We work with teachers and educators to tailor the program to your academic needs. We love to focus on birds, but additional field trip themes include:

  • Ecology
  • Freshwater Ecosystems
  • Pollinators
  • Water Quality Testing (please provide your own materials)
  • And more…

We can handle most sizes of students depending on timing, number of teachers/chaperones, and volunteer coverage. There is no fee, but we encourage donations to be made to Tucson Audubon.

Set up your Sweetwater Wetlands trip now by emailing Sweetwater Coordinator Alex Patia at apatia@tucsonaudubon.org.

Tabling Events

We have interactive children’s activities designed specifically for events like science fairs, open houses, and festivals, and depending on timing and volunteer availability, we’d love to join you! Contact us to learn more about our activities and availability to be at your event.

Invite us to your educational event by emailing Engagement Director Luke Safford at lsafford@tucsonaudubon.org.

Special Opportunities

Download our Bird Safe Buildings student activity book in English or Spanish. This is a fun and educational activity book designed for students to use in your class, or at home!
